Deadly Weed Killer Roundup® Causing More Harm
Deadly Weed Killer Roundup® Causing More Harm
The Monsanto weed killer Roundup®, which a jury had previously found was linked to the terminal non-Hodgkins lymphoma diagnosis given to a school groundskeeper, is now thought to be responsible for killing off bee populations around the world. This information is coming from scientists at the University of Texas at Austin and posits that glyphosate, the ingredient responsible for Roundup® being a powerhouse weed killer, destroys specialized bacteria in bees, leaving them susceptible to infection and potential death. Scientists who were involved in the study hope that the research results in improved guidelines for the use of and exposure to dangerous glyphosate.
