Houston Area Officer Caught On Viral Video Fatally Shooting A Pregnant Woman

Law enforcement made news headlines again for excessive violence when an officer outside of Houston fatally shot a woman who could be heard on camera shouting that she was pregnant. The incident was captured on social media Monday night and depicted a Baytown officer confronting a woman he believed had multiple warrants, in an attempt to arrest her. A spokesman for the Baytown Police claims that a struggle started during the arrest attempt and the officer was forced to use his Taser but the victim was apparently able to gain control of the Taser. Rather than attempt to regain control of the Taser, the officer fired on the victim and killed her.
