Mesa, AZ Officer Awarded Lifetime Pension For Killing
Mesa, AZ Officer Awarded Lifetime Pension For Killing
A former Mesa, Arizona, police officer who fatally shot a man who was sobbing and pleading for his life had the good fortune to be acquitted of the graphic fatal shooting and be allowed to be briefly rehired. The arrangement allowed the dangerous officer to apply for tax-free pension of $31,000 per year, which he was granted. The victim, on the other hand, lived the final moments of his life crawling on a hotel hallway floor and begging for his life.
